Altar servers (girls and boys) assist the priest and deacon during Mass and other liturgical ceremonies. They are expected to be appropriately prepared, committed to giving their time and talent to their parish community, and willing to serve God’s people. They should be able to understand the Eucharistic celebration and the other sacred rites. The ministry is open to girls and boys once they have received First Holy Communion who either attend a Catholic school or are enrolled in Religious Education classes.  Training is provided.
