There are many exciting changes in the Early Childhood Program! We have designated one of our classrooms as the new STEM Center which is available for all classes! We have created a dedicated makerspace for the children to explore science, technology, engineering and math in a fun and challenging environment! The children will still have STEM lessons in their individual classes, however with the addition of the STEM Center, we will be able to introduce them to a wider variety of hands on activities we know they will love!
We are also continuing to update the classroom wing and playground! All interior work to the classroom wing will be done during the periods ECP is closed to the children. Contact Sheri by phone (281-333-0176) or email szombory@stpaulcatholic.org for more information about the upcoming changes, registration or with questions about our program.
St Paul's Early Childhood program offers a nurturing, loving learning environment for the pre-school age child. We focus on developing fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive skills that will prepare your child for early education. Our new STEM Center is now open!
An introduction to Spanish is also offered in our Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 dual language classrooms. In these classes, the children will set about learning their colors, numbers, and shapes in Spanish as well as a few prayers and songs. Our two year olds learn Spanish through daily repetition in song and during circle time. Our Pre-K 4 classes focus on kindergarten prep using TEA guidelines.
The mission of St. Paul Early Childhood Program is to offer an environment for the pre-school age child in our parish community that encourages developmental skills that are age appropriate. Religious values will be incorporated in the curriculum as well as in the attitudes of the staff. Our hope is that this program will promote families' visions of their own unique mission, sanctity, gifts and strengths for the service of their own families, the church and society.
