This fun and free day activity program is for people who have Alzheimer's or other memory disorders. Volunteers put together a fun day filled with a variety of activities built around that month's theme. Caregivers can leave their loved one and get some respite from caregiving or they can stay around, join in on the fun, and even take advantage of our caregiver support group that takes place from 10:30 a.m. to noon. For more information about participating, contact Heidi Clark at 281-333-3891, ext. 328.
This group meets every other Thursday to knit prayer shawls for those who are sick, lonely, infirm, or otherwise in need of comfort and encouragement. As they knit, they pray for whatever the needs might be of the person who receives the shawl. New volunteers are always welcome. If you do not know how to knit, they will teach you.
This men's fellowship gathers weekly for spiritual growth, Bible study, and building community. Contact Marcus Michna for more information: mjmichna@shelmark.net
