Marriage is a sacrament of the self-giving love which two people offer to each other. But the love that a couple has for each other need not end there; ideally their love should spill out to those around them and become a source of hope and of comfort for others. The support which a married couple can give each other can be a source of great strength, allowing them to serve others in a very powerful way.
We offer a number of programs aimed at helping couples live out their sacraments in generous and loving ways.
This series is for married and dating couples looking to enrich and deepen their connection with one another. Each 8-week session features a different topic for helping couples explore their relationship, connect in their faith, and develop a better understanding of what makes great relationships great. Sessions are lively, informative, and fun, led by mentor couples who share their own personal experiences and teach tools for building deeper, more intimate, more loving relationships. Three sessions are held each year, and they take place on Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. There is no cost to participate and free child care is provided when reservations are made in advance. Living in Love
This two-day retreat for married couples takes place at St. Paul's all day Saturday and on Sunday morning and afternoon. Based on the Church's rich and beautiful theology of marriage, couples spend the weekend expanding their understanding of what it means to be sacrament for one another and the world. Retreats usually take place in the spring and the fall. Contact Heidi Clark at 281-333-3891, ext. 328 or email@example.com for more information.
Because marriages thrive when you feed them well, our Marraige Ministry team sponsors monthly couple potlucks combining food, fellowship, and fun. At these events, couples gather for a delicious, shared meal followed by a fun activity aimed at affirming you in your marriage. Free babysitting is provided. Potlucks are generally held the first Saturday of most months. For more information, contact Rick or Myra Banke at firstname.lastname@example.org
