Vincent Vuong-Quoc Nguyen and Host by: Mary Mother of Grace Praesidium. PLEASE BRING A FLOWER TO PLACE AT THE FEET OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER. Potluck Lunch after Celebration so please bring a dish to share. There will be Mass in English at 9 AM and in Spanish at 12 noon. Children are invited to bring their Easter Baskets to Mass (please put their names of the bottom of the baskets) to receive a special blessing. There will be NO 5 PM Mass.
There will be NO Mass at 8:30 AM but we will gather at that hour to join the Church throughout the world to pray “Morning Prayer” from the Liturgy of the Hours. We will also celebrate the final Preparatory Rituals for our RCIA elect. At 10 AM, Father Wencil will bless baskets of Easter Dinner Food on the steps outside the main doors. At 8:30 PM, our Church Family will gather to celebrate the Great Vigil of Easter, the most important night of the year. This bilingual ceremony will include the lighting of the new fire and Paschal Candle, the Scriptures of the journey from death to life, the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation, and the Easter Eucharist.
There will be NO 8:30 AM Mass. At 3 PM we will celebrate the Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion and Death in English. The Commemoration will be celebrated at 7 PM in Spanish.
Pope Francis asked our parish to support Christians in the Holy Land. Through the Good Friday Collection, you join with Catholics around the world to stand in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you become an instrument of peace in a troubled land.
Holy Thursday, March 24th: There is NO 8:30 AM Mass. There are NO Confessions. At 7 PM we will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper in English and Spanish, which will conclude with the Procession and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament in Founders’ Hall. Opportunity for individual silent prayer will occur until 11 PM when we celebrate a closing prayer service of lights and readings, as we accompany Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane until Midnight.
