From EWTN, By Michelle Laque Johnson: Spain, France, Russia – Explore the origins of the many shrines of Our Lady of Fatima throughout Europe, including one which saved a village from encroaching lava from a volcano! “Fatima in Europe: Shrines and Testimonies” is just one of the many specials EWTN is airing this May in honor of Our Lady. Click on the title above to see what’s coming up this week, which is the 99th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. This is the year to begin to prepare for the 100th anniversary of what many call the most significant Marian apparition of all time!
Everyone is invited to participate in our annual outdoor procession with the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday, May 29, after the 9 AM Mass. If you attend another Mass, please gather in the Narthex at 10 AM. First Communicants are asked to wear their special outfits and bring flower petals to throw in front of the Blessed Sacrament.
Please drop off any extra rosaries you might have that are not being used. The Legion of Mary will put them to good use when evangelizing to others. To learn more about the Legion of Mary, consider attending a Monday meeting at 6:45 p.m. in room 1.
Usually Catholics have lots of saint medals, rosaries, prayer cards, saint statues, religious pictures, Catholic literature and brand new Catholic Bibles (because all they need to use is one). Please consider donating them to the Legion of Mary or Legion de Maria to use for Door-to-Door Evangelization and Book Borrow. Items may be dropped off at the Welcome Center with Legion of Mary written on the bag or Lora Ruzicka. The Legion de Maria needs all of the above but in Spanish. Thank you in advance for helping the Legion on their mission.
